Since a while now, I’m studying each afternoon when I return back home. Of course it’s just limited to two or three hours maximum but still better than nothing. Since three weeks I’m als having the third semester on chinese language. It’s a course for basic Mandarin each Wednesday. Actually it’s a real pleasure going there but every time i realize that my pronounciation need alot more sensitiveness especially with the tones and fluent speaking. That’s what my teacher is about to improve with this course. More speaking. As we were talking about that after the course has ended, she gave me an e-mail adress for a potentional tandem-partner.

Actually I never considered something similar. Of course I do have a few chinese friends but just over the chat and I hardly speak chinese with them. I guess I’m shy when it comes to speaking a foreign language. But there is no other way around to practice it. Repeating the audio discs just won’t do it. So I have contacted that person, introduced myself briefly and asked tandem-partnership. I have received a reply, stating that she would take the task and help me improving my mandarin aswell beeing teached by me, when it comes to German. On Friday I will go to the University for the meeting. On one side I’m afraid of it, on the other side I’m looking forward to it aswell.
